Mahogany Writing Slope

Description

A Solid mahogany Victorian c1841 writing slope .It is in good condition for its age,the mahogany has a nice finish and the brass is all original,As with any box 150yrs old it has had some restoration in the past.but generally is in good condition for its age

It has now been fitted witha new leather maroon writing surface and is complete with a  lock which is faulty

This box has some history,on the back of the pen rest it is dated 1841 T J Cambell and on one of the writing slopes it states that it was given on 25th of December 1841 and then given to "Kate Morgan"! in 1845
